An Honest Review Of Vibra Travels

What Is My Honest Review Of Vibra Travels?

I’ve had the opportunity to take multiple assignments with Vibra Travels agency and here is my full, honest, non-sponsored review. As a spoiler, this agency is one of the best I’ve worked with. From my initial time reaching out to the completion of my contracts, Vibra travels has made it easy for me to live out my dream of being a travel nurse. Here is my review of Vibra Travels.

The Recruitment Process

I reached out to Vibra after seeing a listing for an assignment in my preferred location via an app called Vivian. I was working as a staff nurse at the time, and had been looking for a travel assignment for weeks before I thankfully (finally) found Vibra Travels.

Once I reached out through the Vivian app, I was immediately paired with a recruiter and the process began. I spoke with the recruiter over the phone who scheduled an interview with the facility.

I still remember speaking to my recruiter over the phone for the first time while on a lunch break at my staff hospital; she was so kind and didn’t make me feel nervous but rather made me extra excited to start the process of starting my travel nursing journey!

I interviewed with the facility, my recruiter followed up immediately, and within a day I was offered a contract. My recruiter wasted no time and advocated for me even as a first-time traveler.

The Onboarding Process

As soon as I signed the contract (YAY), the onboarding process began. As a first time traveler, it seemed like a lot to gather and complete, but my recruiter didn’t make me feel rushed. Instead, she supported me and answered every single question I sent her way.

My recruiter and the Vibra Travels Onboarding team worked with me to set up any physical exams, fit testing, etc so there was no delay in my start date which I have had issues with when working with other agencies.

The Communication While on Assignment

Once I started my assignment, my recruiter stayed in touch and made through there wasn’t any issues while I was on assignment. Even though everything went smoothly for the most part, it was nice to know I had someone to reach out to.

When I later accepted another assignment with Vibra Travels, I did run into some issues at the facility. I reached out my my recruiter and Vibra Travels HR and they handled everything for me.

The staff at Vibra Travels truly advocate for their travelers the same way we as nurses advocate for our patients. I’ve worked with multiple agencies and it is not always this way, so I am always grateful when on assignment with Vibra.

The Transparency with Pay Stubs

One of the things I really appreciated about working with Vibra Travels was the easy access to all of my pay stubs. Every shift, I clocked in and out on an app which was super convenient.

On that same app, I was able to see my pay stubs including how many hours I worked that pay period, what taxes were taken out, etc. If breaks were missed, that was compensated for and reflected on the paycheck as well.

Securing A New Assignment Quickly

After my first assignment with Vibra, I was able to live out a life-long dream of travelling around Europe for a month with my best friend. Partway through the trip, I happened to check the Vivian app while eating a sausage and sauerkraut dinner in Munich Germany.

I saw an incredible opportunity in the San Francisco Bay Area with Vibra Travels, and sent a text to my recruiter. Even with the time difference, my recruiter texted back, contacted the facility, and set up an interview that same day. The next day, after a lovely time at Oktoberfest, I interviewed in my hotel room in Munich.

The next day we flew to Greece and I received an offer! My friend and I cheered as I signed my next contract with Vibra Travels on our private balcony on a small, tropical island.

For my next assignment, the onboarding process was a breeze since I had already taken an assignment with the company. At the time of signing the contract, I didn’t even have my CA nursing license. The agency took care of that for me by securing a temporary license that covered my entire assignment. They could not have made it any easier for me.

Other Things to Note

Vibra Travels works with many LTAC hospitals all over the country, but they are also starting to work with acute care hospitals as well. My first assignment with Vibra was my first time working the LTAC specialty and I learned so much.

One thing I would encourage is to not ignore an opportunity at an LTAC facility if you think you don’t have the right experience. If you have general Med/Surg experience, you have all the necessary skills to begin an LTAC assignment, and you will build on those skills.
